  • Q. Why should I buy an electronic dog fence?

  • A. An electronic Dog Fence is cheaper and easier to install than any conventional metal or wooden fence. They are also more effective in keeping your dog safely contained.


  • Q. What is an In-ground Dog Fence System?

  • A. An In-ground Dog Fence has three vital components; a transmitter, some wires, and a collar receiver. The transmitter plugs into a standard outlet that sends out a signal to the wires that have been buried to define the invisible fence. The collar receiver is worn around the dog’s neck and picks up the signal from the wires. The receiver will alert the dog when near the wires or attempting to go past the wires.


  • Q. I have more than one dog. Can I contain more than one dog with a dog fence?

  • A. Yes! Additional collar receivers can be purchased for each dog you wish to contain. To increase the containment area or provide separate containment, you can purchase extra transmitters.


  • Q. Is there another way that I can contain my dog without burying wires?

  • A. Sure! For those wanting all the features that an In-ground dog fence provides, but do not want or are not able to, there is a solution. By purchasing Securing Staples, you can install any in-ground system above ground. For more detailed information, please refer to our Installation Guide for an Above Ground Installation.


  • Q. Can a Dog Fence made for indoor use be used outdoors?

  • A. An Indoor Dog Fence has been designed for indoor use, but they can be used outdoors too. However, the indoor systems are not as effective as an outdoor system would be. Be sure to check the range of the device before purchasing.
